The good vibrations from the cosmos continue to roll in today as the Sun in Libra conjoins with Mercury and Mercury makes a lovely aspect to Mars. The one thing that we have to keep in mind is that Mercury is retrograde, so we will have to tweak our interpretations slightly.

First, let’s take Sun conjunct Mercury. In normal circumstances, this would be a great day to communicate our ideals and thoughts with others. There is a clear flow of energy between these two planets that allows us to get our point of view across productively. However, since Mercury is retrograde this is a great opportunity for you to reflect on the current state of your life and decide whether or not you are getting your inner needs met. Additionally, it’s a great time to understand those around you better than ever before because Sun conjoined with Mercury gives us perceptive insight.

This dovetails straight into Mercury sextile Mars. Normally, this would be a great time to get things done because Mars fires up Mercury and it’s great for completing tasks and completely jobs that may need to be finished. Yet, Mercury retrograde instructs us to turn this inward and actually gives you the courage and initiative to take care of your inner needs and express your wants, needs, and desires. Since this aspect is beneficial, you will notice it easier than ever before to get people to be responsive to your needs because they will be more receptive to you at this time. Finally, if new opportunities come your way today, consider them but do not take action until after Mercury goes direct.

Today, Venus in Libra makes a favorable aspect to Jupiter in Leo. Now, I will admit this is not the most opportune day (Tuesday) for this aspect to occur, because the general nature of the two planets is not to take things too seriously and it is known for its ‘fun’ side rather than its mundane application. However, where business is concerned, Venus sextile Jupiter is great for financial matters, making deals, and resolving legal matters – although keep in mind that Mercury is retrograde and it is recommended not to finalize business plans or sign contracts at this time.

After the work day is over (of if you are lucky enough to have Tuesday off), it is a great day for fun filled associations. The general energy of Venus-Jupiter leans towards enjoying the company of others and giving/receiving generosity. Today is a great day to reach out to your social circle and spend some time focused on fun activities rather than anything too serious. Additionally, any new friendships or relationships that begin under this influence should prove beneficial and will bring out your best qualities.

Today is an easy astrological news day. The Moon continues to move through mercurial Gemini and it forms only one major aspect a trine to Mercury. Now just in case you have forgotten, Mercury is currently retrograde. Under normal conditions this would be a great day for commerce, communication, and travel, but with Mercury being retrograde this aspect is more useful if we begin to look internally. It’s a great day for reorganizing, reflecting, renovating, and repair. On the business level it is an opportune time to revise your current strategy and modify anything that may not be working for you. The moon will go void at 1:58 PM EST, so put off starting anything new until the Moon moves into Cancer this evening.

If you have something to say, now is the time to say it with the Moon moving through talkative Gemini. The only caveat is that with Mercury (the natural ruler of Gemini) being retrograde its necessary to be as clear and concise as possible with your communication.

The moon makes several opportunistic aspects throughout the day. First she sextiles Uranus in the early afternoon hours providing plenty of spunk and spontaneity to jump start your day. Then she will trine Venus putting a lovely glow upon relationship activities. Finally, tonight she will sextile expansive and “lucky” Jupiter which promotes activities that are adventurous and fun-filled. It might be a great evening to get your freak on!
